No ordinary lunch date

You never know what can hold up the Cape Town traffic – like our weather it can be highly unpredictable.  Without warning a day’s plans of lunch on a wine farm can be thwarted by traffic stopped dead in its tracks by any number of things, sometimes seemingly nothing at all.

Of course if you decide to go by helicopter, that eliminates most of those problems, and will make you feel like A Very Important Person (either rock-star or movie star depending on your fantasy).

It’s not just about the destination either, there is no better way to get a lay of the land and experience the best views of the southernmost tip of Africa and across a gorgeous city steeped in history.  Viator VIP tours take off from The V&A Waterfront leaving you gasping at the breath-taking views along the Atlantic Coast past Green Point, Sea Point, the white beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and over Llandudno, then back through Constantia Nek, a low pass over the Table Mountain range, and finally landing at the top class Constantia Uitsig Estate.  This unique, luxury experience lets you travel in style and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of food and wine.  Wine-tasting this way means no road maps, no worries about the time, and no designated driver missing out.

Once you’ve touched down at Constantia Uitsig you will taste some award winning wines in the cellar, relax over a five-star three course lunch made by Chef Clayton Bell, who has earned a reputation worldwide for his epicurean artistry.  The restaurant is surrounded by the exquisite mountains and vineyards stretching for miles.

After an amazing meal, head back to Cape Town over Constantia Neck, Hout Bay and the fashionable Clifton beaches.  You’ll fly past the Twelve Apostles mountain range, and then touch down back at the V&A Waterfront.

You would be advised to do this near the end of your holiday, as you would be hard pressed to match a luxury day out like this one.
